Waking up in the early morning, looking at people waving our Jalur Gemilang, listening to people cheers. Yes, it is a beautiful day, our Malaysia Day.
16th of September, the day which we are formed together as one country. Back in 1963, you could see that we are waving our flags and called ourselves Malaysian. Yes, you could still see the same atmosphere in 2016, just that with different people and different environment. All these years, Malaysia is growing, from a small country to a globally well-known country. But it seems like we are slowing down our footsteps, getting all the corruption, scandals, hatred and unhealthy political strategies pulling us back from moving forward.
I believe Malaysia should be the greatest country right? We have the best in Malay, the best in Chinese, the best in Indian, the best in Kadazan, the best in Iban and so on... so why are we yet to become the greatest country?
Yes, you may say that the current coalition government are too corrupted, govern with the traditional ways and some of them still give out racial remarks. How about the opposition? They don't even have their plan and their stand on the local issues. You can see that today they are all friends yum cha (drinking tea) together and the next day, they are breaking up with each other. How are we going to put our future into their hands? So, what's in Malaysia's future? HOPELESS!
I think it's time for us, the younger generation to decide where we want our country to move forward and what we want to give to our future generation.
Malaysia, A Part of Who We Are.
